Celebrating Student Success
This is an important aspect of our program. The girls are the center focus and so they must be recognized and their success must be celebrated. At the end of the session, OGAV holds a graduation ceremony to celebrate graduating students, honour girls that have distinguished themselves throughout the year as nominated by their peers, and give scholarships, awards to deserving girls
Summer Leadership Camp for 1000 girls
This is a program that runs during the summer holiday for four weeks and it is geared towards the following objectives;
- empowering public school girls and bridging the gap between their private school counterparts
- make summer holidays valuable to students thus positively impacting the girls within the community. Summer time is a time when students are at risk of engaging in unsafe activities. Most of these students are left unsupervised by parents who are having their own economic challenges.
