The Ornaments of Grace and Virtue (OGAV) Board of Trustees is comprised of leaders in the fields of international and social development, legal and human resources expertise, and seasoned educators.

Olubusola Kolade
Chair and Founder

Olubusola Kolade studied at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria from where she graduated with an Honor’s degree in Food Science and Technology. She later proceeded to Reading University, England for her Master’s degree in Food Quality Control. She went back for second Master’s Degree at Brunel University London, England for Masters in Environmental Pollution Science with Project Management. Shortly after, she immigrated to Canada and took up an appointment with Ryerson Polytechnic University as an Asst. Professor in the Science department. Olubusola has been an educator in the secondary sector in the last fifteen years with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). Her passion for the youth and the need to “catch them young” as she says, made her to go back to Teachers College at Brock University, Hamilton, Canada and since then, has been an employee of TDSB as a teacher.

Her passion for the young ones to succeed motivates her to chair/co-chair different initiatives, such as Character Education, the Student Recognition award, the Outstanding Student of the Month Award and the Equity Committee. Olubusola is a firm believer in mentoring youth. She thinks that no youth should be left behind but equipped to achieve success and that good virtues and values are learned and not a coincidence.

She is the founder and President of a Not-for-profit Organization, Ornaments of Grace and Virtue Organization (OGAV), which goal is, to promote the advancement of girls’ education with a focus on career guidance, character education and leadership. OGAV is working in partnership with girls in secondary schools within the community Busola is an author of a newly published book “Share it” by Westbow publishers.

She loves her heritage and is actively involved in the Nigerian Community in Toronto, where she lives. Her outgoing personality in combination with her involvement with different community organizations has allowed her to serve as part of the executive officers – Secretary, Social Secretary and Board of Director. Olubusola has been recognized and given awards for her various commitments to service and leadership within her community by the Toronto School Board, Toronto Police and Nigerian Canadian Association. Her passion for nurturing and mentoring girls also made her to be recognized and given the Distinguished Old Girls award by Queen’s School Old Girls Association Nigeria. In 2018 she was among the women recognized for the prestigious award 100 Accomplished Black Women of Canada.

She is a woman of strength, great courage and absolute faith in the Lord.. She believes in making success through commitment and persistence out of daunting situations in life. Her quest and passion for life is infectious and she positively impacts others that come across her path. She is married with two children.[/read]

Kehinde Omojola
Secretary

Kenny has over 20 years’ experience, spanning all levels, in the education industry. Her experience cuts across both the British and Nigerian curricula at teaching, management and board levels; and in nursery to tertiary schools. She therefore has wide and varied knowledge of working with children and teenagers.

She is a strong advocate of school improvement which she believes can only be achieved through continuous teacher development, research, constant review of the curriculum and restructuring of the learner’s environment.

Kenny obtained a B.Sc. Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan, and holds a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from EDS, Pan African University, Lagos. She is a Goldman Sachs Scholar, a Character First implementer and a certified Career Direct consultant. She is a full Member of The Nigerian Institute of Training and Development and has accreditation from the Centre for Management Development as a certified management trainer in Nigeria. She is an ILO Certified Small Business Consultant licensed to run the Start and Improve Your Business, and Expand Your Business programs.

Kenny has been involved in school start-ups and development/turnaround projects. She was a Leadership and Microenterprise Consultant at the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Lagos and is an in-house consultant to the NECA Network of Entrepreneurial Women. She is the Chief Executive Officer of Sycamore Edge Nig. Ltd.
She is married to Pastor Bayo Omojola and they are blessed with four children.

Aduke Phillips
Financial Secretary

Trained as a nurse, Mrs Aduke Philip received her nursing degree from Lagos University Teaching Hospital in 1977. Upon graduating, she took a position at the University College Hospital as a nurse in the emergency ward. In 1979 at the request of her mother, she made a career change and took a sales position with S.A. Adeyinka Enterprise.

Her handwork ethic and “can do” attitude helped propel her through the ranks to the position of CEO. Her stimulating and motivational management skills coupled with her knack for quality customer service and accountability, helped grow the company to the largest Enamelware distributor in South-West Nigeria. Mrs Philip also serves on the board of directors at Identity Matrix Transport and Logistic Ltd. She has held many leadership positions within her community and serves on the board of directors of several charities one of which is Ornaments of Grace and Virtue.

Since her start at S.A. Adeyinka Enterprise, her interactions with business and community leaderships over the years have seen very little growth in the involvement of women in the upper echelons of leadership. Mrs Philip believes these needs to change and this belief has fuelled her commitment and ardent involvement in activities and organizations that foster the empowerment and advancement of women. She is happily married with two children and serves as the financial director.

Anthonia Kemi Ogunmefun
Trustee

Non-Executive Director- Access Bank PLC

Mrs. Ogunmefun is a Barrister and Solicitor, who is member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, as well as a member of the Nigerian Bar.

She obtained her LL.B (Honours) from the University Lagos in 1974 and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1975. She was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2004.

She has a certificate in Dispute Resolution from York University (Ontario) and has completed the Canadian Securities Course with the Canadian Securities Institute (Mutual Funds Licensing).

She has over three decades of experience in Corporate/Commercial and Banking Law, having begun her career at Chase Merchant Bank Nigeria. Following her admission to the Law Society of Upper Canada, Mrs. Ogunmefun practiced in the areas of Family Law and Immigration Law.

She also has extensive experience as a Board member, having served of on the Board of Credite Bank Nigeria and more recently she served as Board Member of Kinark Child and Family Services (Ontario, Canada), where she was the Chairman of the Governance Committee.

She has attended several courses on Corporate Governance and Risk Management.

Florence Foluke Onasanya
Trustee

Mrs. Florence Foluke Onasanya (nee Ayorinde) is a seasoned Educator and astute Administrator.  She has been in the teaching industry for more than four decades.  She retired as a senior Secondary School Principal in February 2010.  She renders marvellous services to her Alma Mater and other organizations, her church inclusive.  She is currently a Chief Mentor of Torchbearers, the young ‘Queens’, selected to be ambassadors of old students of Queen’s School, Ede/Ibadan.  In these places, she bagged various Awards for service, including a recent one by the Parents’ Teachers’ Association of Oyo State (Ibadan Chapter).

In the academic sector, she is a WAEC/NECO Examiner for more than 30 years.  She is an Educational Consultant to many private Secondary Schools in Ibadan, where she resides, and environs.

A resource person at Seminars, Workshops and other secular or spiritual programmes, most especially those which involve re-training of teachers.  A passionate teacher to the core, she readily comes to the rescue of Science students whenever the need arises in some of the schools where she is a consultant - in areas of Chemistry and other physical/basic science subjects.

Mrs. Foluke Onasanya is a prolific writer, having written 8 Science Revision Books - 4 of Chemistry, 3 of Basic Science and 1 other – ‘Mastering Chemistry’, on special request from Macmillan Publishers.  She also published various Educational and Spiritual Magazines at different times.

Integrity, Poise, Propriety, Discipline, Honesty, being Charitable are some attributes of this lady who has impacted positively on many lives – Children, Youths, Women and Men respectively.

She is happily married with children who have made her very proud and lovely grandchildren.

Olori Olanike Ogunleye
Trustee

Olori Olanike Ogunleye [B.A (ED), History (UNIFE), PGDE (Nottingham)] is a seasoned administrator, a trained public speaker, a staff motivator/trainer and a highly trained education management consultant with 30 years of working experience as a teacher and school administrator.

Her areas of expertise include childcare & welfare; Montessori education; primary & secondary education; production & maintenance of school curriculum; training the trainers (i.e. offering teaching skills & school management training); networking with educational institutions; time management training; and team building.

She was the senior advisor of children’s education and safety at the Olusegun Obasanjo presidential library. Consequent to the skillful & graceful discharge of her duties, she was promoted, and her portfolio was increased by president Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR), FMR. President of the federal republic of Nigeria. She currently serves in the organization as the manager in charge of tourism, museum and head of administration and procurement.

Yinka Fakunle
Trustee

Yinka Fakunle graduated from Federal Government Girls’ College, Sagamu, Nigeria with a high school diploma.  She obtained her BA Economics from the University of Victoria, Canada and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Studies from Ryerson University, Canada. She also holds a Certificate of Professional Leadership Development and a Certificate of Teaching Effectiveness in Adult Education.

Yinka’s work with children has spanned almost a decade.  She has worked with infants to youth in early years, hospital and school settings.  As an educator, her passion for children and teens has driven her to facilitate a school readiness program and an Early Author’s program. She has been instrumental in organizing a symposium for educators that work with young English Language Learners, which culminated in a research study she authored. She has written policies in the early year’s sector as well as the policies that govern the OGAV girls’ club. Yinka has volunteered for many causes including, but not limited to, fundraising for ‘Go Purple’ Campaign for Child Abuse Prevention, the World Vision 30-Hour Famine and supporting the Children’s Television Network Telethon. 

Yinka is an avid believer in the need to hone leadership and communication skills and has been part of the Toastmasters community for several years and served on their Executive Committee as VP Public Relations. She has written and delivered speeches on various topics and written diverse columns in their newsletter. She is also a writer for the Balance Living Magazine, a quarterly magazine that empowers women. 

Yinka’s hobbies are writing and traveling.  She currently resides in Ontario, Canada and works with a School Board.

Toyin Jaiyeola
Trustee

Mrs. Jaiyeola Oluwatoyin Ayoade is a graduate of the prestigious University of Ibadan, where she had a B.Sc in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work.

She is presently the Director Social Welfare with the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development and an astute Social Welfare Officer.

She has well over twenty-five years of experience in public service, spanning various departments dealing with the welfare of families, vulnerable children and other categories.

She successfully oversaw various social welfare units, providing and promoting the well-being of vulnerable groups in Lagos State. 

Mrs. Jaiyeola is a notable Counsellor, court Assessor for many years and a member of National Association of Social Workers, Lagos State Branch.
